2010 Outstanding Youth
The William Trippley Youth Development Foundation along with the Chamber’s Foundation presented this year’s Outstanding Youth award to Ma’Najah Goldsborough. Not only is Ma’Najah a talented soccer player she is also gifted academically. Furthermore, she has a positive attitude and a bright personality both on and off the field. The award earned her a scholarship to the Girls Soccer School of Excellence camp at Swarthmore College.
Community Service
This year we were proud to announce that the recipient of our Community Service Award went to Rob Smith, of the Philadelphia Union. Our organization is dedicated to community service and we believe it is important to recognize those that dedicate their lives to the similar goals. Rob Smith has worked tirelessly to ensure that the youth in Chester, through soccer, have the resources they need to succeed in life. He is a role model with high standards for himself and for the youth he serves.
2010 Community Activist
This year’s Community Activist Award was presented to Desire Grover. The award is given to those that are willing to give the necessary effort to make a positive impact on his or her community. Desire is the founder of GhettoPrint.com. She is a leader in community activism and she dedicates her time to changing the face of her community for the better.
